Mobility: More than Stretching

$149.00

Mobility is a buzz-word these days. But what does it really mean? Mobility is different from flexibility. Flexibility means the ability of a muscle to lengthen passively through a range of motion while mobility is the ability of a joint to actively (and easily) move through a range of motion.

Good mobility requires that the brain accurately and efficiently map out the movement. Just like the GPS on your phone which needs accurate information from at least 3 satellites in order to map your path to your destination, your brain gathers information from the visual, vestibular and proprioceptive systems in order to map your movement.

Let’s explore in more detail how to improve your mobility by decreasing unnecessary muscular tension and improving communication between your brain and your muscles! No prior anatomy background is needed.

This course will be offered virtually and recorded for those who cannot join live. If possible clear your schedule to join in person in order to ask your questions and join in the conversation around balance!

All classes will be noon - 2pm EST, 11-1 CST, 10-noon PST
