Designing Effective Dance Training
Designing Effective Dance Training
There is a science behind optimal performance. Teachers do their best to guide students in their training, which is a challenging process, to say the least. One student has good hamstring flexibility but weak hip flexors, another has no idea how to use their core, another is beset by pain in their back, and perhaps some are going through growth spurts. There really isn’t enough time in a class to address all the individual asymmetries while concentrating on improving their technique.
Designing Effective Dance Training will provide a much-needed resource for dance teachers of all styles, including leading-edge research and strategies for their teaching toolkit, which will decrease the potential for injuries while enhancing technique. This training is applicable to all levels of curricular material, be it contemporary, ballet, acro or jazz.
This will be a hybrid course consisting of 12 weeks of online classes (which will be recorded) which culminates in a 3-day in person workshop.
More details will be upcoming… The course will begin early 2026!
